A Brief Note on Consistency
Share
Consistency is the hallmark of a good tyer. At the end of the day, there are many different ways to tie many different patterns. While I might argue for a slim perdigon body for most scenarios, it is perfectly fine to tie that same perdigon pattern with a much thicker abdomen, as is often seen in the Polish tying scene. The key difference is that they are purposefully tying it thicker, and are consistently executing their purposeful fly design. This is very different than a tyer aiming for a slim body, and then accidentally creating a thick body because they fail to manage their wraps and other tying procedures.
